Happy Birthday Little Friend

Good morning LIMettes, I cannot believe it is Saturday already, this week as flown by.  We have a new challenge for you over at Less Is More and the theme is Balloons.  I just had to use this little cutie and add a pop of colour. to a mainly black and white card!

I let my inlink expire so will need to sort that out for supplies, but everything is from Stampin Up for this card.

My mojo seems to be slowly returning, although I have not had much time for crafting this week at all. I have my first work trip of the year away next week going to Dubai so I will try and visit you... and hopefully when I'm back have a little more time to spend in my studio

New Baby....

Morning LIMettes... Anyone seen my mojo?  I thought sorting out the craft studio I would find it but that is not the case.... I struggled to make this weeks card.

The theme is New Beginnings over at Less Is More which gives you lots of options.. I decided to go for a New Baby card using one of my New SU stamp sets that arrived last week!

Stamped onto kraft card I added some neutral tones to colour in the little animals and then used a fabulous labeller sentiment stamp across the bottom.

I'm hoping that I can get back into the crafting mode soon, life was so crazy over the holidays and now I'm back at work I thought it would give me time but with no Mojo I have just sat at the desk a few times.
The Craft room is sorted as such, I still have some draws to go through but I know now where everything it.  I'll try and sort out the stuff I have for sale over the next week or so as well so Look out for updates to my craft sale page!

Coffee Anyone....

Morning .... Today I have my card for the new Less Is More challenge.  It's One Layer week and the theme is Favourite Drink... Difficult one for me as I am pretty much only drinking H2O at the moment.
I ended up using this fabulous stamp from Lili Of The Valley to make a little card with a surprise inside!

A Starbuck gift card is hidden inside, perfect for those true coffee lovers!

I'm still working through the craft room and haven't had much time for it this last week so the desk os pretty much covered in stuff and everything is lying around.  My mojo is also lost in there as well as I am really struggling to sit down and create anything ... overload of new stuff (the SU order I placed last week as not helped in that).

I'm really hoping I can sort it all out today as it is driving me crazy living with the mess I created by pulling stuff out before New Years and work is so busy at the moment there isn't much time in the week to anything more than the gym and eat :-(

I'll be concentrating on sorting out the room rather than crafting this week but I will try and get some cards made in the chaos

Ombre Thanks

Morning LIMettes, we are back with another challenge for you over at Less Is More and as it's the first Saturday of January it's a colour challenge and I love this one!!

You can use any colour with an ombre effect!!

I had so much fun making this card.. Mixing up Rich Razzleberry re-inker from Stampin Up with some embossing past to get this gorgeous look!

It's finished off with a sparkly thanks sentiment and raised up on some foam.

We also have a fabulous new sponsor for January!

I'm hoping I finish sorting out the Craft room tomorrow so I can actually see my desk again!

Believe

Morning... So today it's the last of the teasers at Clearly Besotted Stamps as well as a new challenge at Less Is More so I thought I would combine the two.  I have used the new set "Journal It" from CBS to go with the colour theme of... Earth Tones over at LIM.  Here is my creation...

I simply used embossing paste on a section of a dotty stencil (sorry not a clue where from) and then layered some banners over the top.  The sentiment and journal plate is from the new CBS Journal It set. It's simply finished off with some wooden stars from Calico Studios.

I did try and follow the sketch from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches as it's been a while since I've been able to enter.

A day of painting my brothers house is ahead of me... It needs a lot more work or tarting up than we originally thought so we have decided to get it done before moving in so it's all sorted!

Have a Little Giggle..

Morning LIMettes... so this week didn't get any quieter at work, but the company finally floated on the stock exchange yesterday so it will either calm down or get more manic in the weeks to come :-(

Humour

We would like your cards to make us giggle this week... Here are mine...

I've used a fantastic set from this months sponsor for my first card this week.  It's simply coloured with flexmarkers and mounted on a red card base. The edges have been pierced using my score bug tool and hougie board.

My second card uses a sneak peek of the new pretty vintage range from lili of the valley.  It's a fabulous sentiment from a set called "Quotables - Friendship". I have stamped it in black onto kraft card stock and then used clear glitter to make it sparkle, although you cannot really tell in the photo.  I have finished it off with some faux stitching around the edge.

I'm just glad it's the bank holiday and I can chill out for a couple of days. I'm off to visit my blog friend Rach this afternoon and then the flicks tonight. Tomorrow is reserved for a BBQ and a bit of crafting and Monday is a full day of crafting and getting ahead for the next few weeks...

Happy 2nd Birthday "Less Is More"

So a little under two years ago my life changed... I started blogging when my Grandpa passed to take my mind off it and one of the first challenges I found was Less Is More... The first challenge I entered was number 3 ... I can't believe that was 2 years ago now!!.
Every Saturday morning I would bounce out of bed (literally) to find out what Chrissie and Mandi had challenged us with that week... I never imagined I would be showing you my creations on the blog every week to inspire (hopefully) all those faithful LIMettes!
Since the creation of Less Is More, many CAS challenges have popped up in blog world showing everyone that "less really is more" and you don't need layer upon layer and hundreds of flowers and embellishments to make fabulous cards!!  So raise your scissors to wish Less Is More a

In A Row... OLC at Less Is More #97

Morning LIMettes... so can you believe it's another challenge over at Less Is More and this week it's everyone's favourite... One Layer Card week.  The theme for the challenge is:

In A Row

So when I saw this theme I had to check the meaning....
row ¹ n.

1. A series of objects placed next to each other, usually in a straight line.

2. A succession without a break or gap in time: won the title for three years in a row.

3. A line of adjacent seats, as in a theatre, auditorium, or classroom.

4. A continuous line of buildings along a street.

The first thing that came to mind was the phrase " Getting your ducks in a row" so this is how I interpreted it in my first card....

What A Winter!

Well... no LIM last week, but I'm making up for it this week as I managed a little mid week crafting which hasn't happened for quite a few weeks now...  Anyhow, when i was sorting out stash I found about a gazillion card blanks so decided that I would use a DL one for the first time in about 3 years!... There were once my favourite, but with promarkers taken over they did not always fit in with designs and sketches... when I found this stamp in the draw I knew it was perfect.... Ok so enough waffling... here it is....
