It's OLC week... Less Is More #102 Sports or Exercise

Morning LIMettes... Wow so man entries last week... you really loved the colour challenge... I still have a few of you to visit today....  Anyhow onto this weeks One Layer challenge at Less Is More and the theme is...

Sports or Exercise
Here are my cards for this week...

For my first card this week I used a digi image from Mo Manning Image and a swimming quote I found on the internet and manipulated them in word to line them up.  Very simply by adding a text box I could move the text around until it was in the right place.... I then coloured in the image with my promarkers and lined the back of the inside of the card.  I have the perfect recipient for this card too....

For my second card, I stamped an LOTV image into the centre of the kraft card blank and then coloured with my flexmarkers so it had a tone on tone effect.  I then punched some holes into the front and threaded through twine from Ribbon Girl.  The sentiment is LOTV and the tag from MFT die-namics.

I can't wait to see what you come up with....

So I thought I would show you my favourite cards of 2012 today...  It was so hard to choose lol!!  I've got a lot more CAS towards the end of the year with fewer coloured images... Need to rectify that in 2013 as I have too many stamps lol.... Sorry this is photo heavy :-)

Phew... that was a long post... if you got to the end well done lol....

Have a great New Years Eve and Happy Crafting for 2013...

Turtley Awesome... Sketch Saturday #239

Morning Sketchers... Hope you all had a fab Christmas.... I've had a few days off from crafting and blogging but looking forward to getting back into the swing of things..  Anyhow, it's time for another sketch over at Sketch Saturday and here is this weeks....

Our Final Sketch for 2012 is sponsored by The Craft Barn

Here is my little card... So nice not to have made a Christmas Card....

Card Recipe:
Image & Sentiment: TAWS -Sea Mates
DP: Pink Petticoat
Twine & Button: The Ribbon Girl

As for today... this is my job.... tackling the mess that is my studio...

I decided to have a move around a couple of weeks ago and then I also bought another Alex draw unit and desk to work from just before Christmas from Ikea. They got put together but stuff ended up in piles ... add a couple of last minute makes and it looks like a bombs hit.... My New Years resolution... to become a tidy crafter lol!!!

I'm also going to have a clear out to watch out for a new for sale page... I really need to reduce my stuff and I'm sure those things I just do not use (Wild Orchid flowers for example) will be better off in a new home....

I'll be back with pictures of the tidy room very soon (fingers crossed x)

Hope you have a great weekend...

In A Row... OLC at Less Is More #97

Morning LIMettes... so can you believe it's another challenge over at Less Is More and this week it's everyone's favourite... One Layer Card week.  The theme for the challenge is:
In A Row
So when I saw this theme I had to check the meaning....
row 1 n.
1. A series of objects placed next to each other, usually in a straight line.
2. A succession without a break or gap in time: won the title for three years in a row.
3. A line of adjacent seats, as in a theatre, auditorium, or classroom.
4. A continuous line of buildings along a street.

The first thing that came to mind was the phrase " Getting your ducks in a row" so this is how I interpreted it in my first card....

Card Recipe:

Prisma Pencils
Seam binding from the ribbon girl

My Second card I decided to just put some items in a row... and couldn't wait to use my new paper smooches set from My Mums Craft shop. This card was inspired by my blogging friend Faye with this card and the reason I bought the stamps...

Card Recipe:
Image: Paper Smooches
ProMarkers
Liquid Pearls
Doodle pen

Ok... That's all from me for now... can't wait to see how you interpret the challenge...
