You Make Me Happy

Morning.. It was so nice to have an extra hour in bed this morning but I feel Like I should have used the extra hour for something useful instead... I made a really quick card for you today using these cute foxes from Pink Petticoat

The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse Stamps... I love how crisp it stamps!

I was supposed to be using the sketch from CASe this sketch but it didn't turn out that way... I'll give it another go this afternoon after I have met my friend for a very overdue catch up over lunch!

Hope you have a great Sunday

Hey, How Are You?

Hey Strangers... I thought I would say hello today and explain a little about what is going on at the moment... I don't normally put things like this on here but here goes....

Last year I my life got turned upside down when my partner decided to want to be with his family more... In January my heart finally broke and after 4 years of ups and downs he has moved back permanently and I'm not really dealing with it at all... Devastated would be the best word I could use. My mojo has run away and I really don't feel like doing anything at all .... I'm taking a break from crafting for a few weeks but may pop around if I can manage to make a little something to show you. Crafting was always my saviour and has got me through a few things over the years so I'm not sure why this is different but sitting in my studio just seems to hurt so much... maybe it's because I'm in on my own I'm really not sure. I'm hoping the start of February feels like a new start for me and I can start to rebuild my life slowly.

To top it all off I'm not sleeping and have lost about 12 lbs in 3 weeks ( I was less than 10 stone at 5'10) so now having blood tests to check nothing else is wrong as a precaution :-(

I do have a little card to show you today as my mum came over Sunday afternoon so I could show her how to watercolour so I managed (and it took about 2 hours) to pull the card below together.... It's so simple but it seemed like hard work and wasn't natural at all.  I just hope that all comes back.. and very soon!

I've used the very cute James with Laptop from LOTV and coloured with my Stampin write markers. The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse but just seemed so appropriate for this little guy...esp in this digital world lol!

There are still a couple of days left to enter my January Candy HERE and don't forget my up to date FOR SALE page.

Finally can I say thank you to all my blog and crafty friends worldwide for everything the last couple of weeks.. you know who you all are!

The flower stamps, card and twine are from Stampin Up and the sentiment from Waltzing Mouse. I'm in a bit of a rush today but before I go I would just like to thanks Homecrafts for honouring me in this years Top 50 Craft Bloggers award

A Tree Or Two!

Morning LIMettes... It's Saturday again and hopefully we have an easier challenge for you this week.  Its theme week at Less Is More and we want to see Trees on your cards.

Here are my creation for this week...

My first card uses a fabulous Stampin Up stampin in hero arts shadow ink and simply stitched around the edges.  The sentiment is the from the same set.  The shadow inks blend into the paper you use to give a smooth ink effect.

My second card uses tiny trees from waltzing mouse stamps.  I used the same colour shadow inks for the tree but onto crumb cake card stock. The spotty paper is from anna marie designs.

That's all from me for today...

Thanks A Bunch!!

Morning Bloggers... I'm back in the world of crafting and raring to go...  After struggling for time and mojo I found inspiration from Debby Hughes @ Lime Doodle with the embossing paste....
I have some paste from a few years ago and decided to have a go at the back ground technique... One night last week I had a play around but didn't really know what to do with it... After much deliberation I came up with the below as I as started putting the card together this morning the creative juices began to start running again....

Card Recipe:
Sentiment: Waltzing Mouse Stamps: Compact Sentiments
Card Stock: Bermuda Bay
Embossing Paste
Stencil - sorry not sure where it is from as had it years :-(

Thanks for all of your kind comments as I took some time off...

I'm off to do some more crafting .... See you all soon
