A Corner of Butterflies

Well I'm supposed to be working on a couple of commissions but I'm struggling to decide on where to put thing, so I thought I'd make this quick one as I had the idea the other day and thought I would give it a go.... It happens to fit in with this weeks LIM challenge of "Pick a Square".  Here it is...

It's simply a butterfly cut from the corner using Martha Stewart punch anywhere butterfly and then scattered with a few of the same butterflies.  The backing paper on the inside and for the butterflies is GCD Melody Ross Lydia collection from Range in the sale ages ago... one of those I found whilst looking for something else lol.....

Hope you like it....

P.S sorry if I've not commented yet.... I'll be catching up later on, but there are loads of fab cards this week....

Olivia & Archie

It's sadly my last week as Guest Designer at Cupcake crafts and this week the theme is Green, Orange, yellow and white.  Now when I first saw this I was very unsure how it would come together. I combined it with the sketch from Cute Card Thursday

I've chose to use a digi from digistamp boutique - Olivia and Archie.  This is coloured in with promarkers ( caramel, cocoa, burnt sienna, leaf, bright and forest green, spice, ginger, apricot, sun kissed pink, cool grey 1-3, buttercup and mustard).

The papers are my minds eye bloom and grow from an 8by8 set on sale at range a few weeks ago. the flowers are cut out from one of the sheets.... a few pearls and some scrap of dovecraft ribbon and finished with a sentiment from scrap-a-licious.

Sorry about the photo the green ribbon look a completely different colour than it does on the actual card

hope you enjoy this weeks challenge

Umbrella Man

Morning LIMettes .... Well it's Saturday again and Mandi and Chrissie have another challenge for us this week....  SQUARES - you need to pick one of the squares and stick within it.  Mandi has also let you all know about my Macmillan Appeal so any donations would be very welcome in my
where I first need to make the 100 card in 90 days, but then also sell them.... ALL... Here is my card ( or should I say cards).

The black first card...
And in red....

I really wanted this to be the white on black but the sentiment embossing didn't come out to well so I thought I'd try the black on red.... But I still prefer the Black one.  The stamp is from Stampers Anonymous and is Tim Holtz Purely Random.  I've then used seafoam embossing powder on the black card and black in on the red card.  The sentiment is from the same set.  Hope you like them....

The dp is MME stella rose hazel. the pale blue card is from scrap box and the ribbon and buttons from stash.  The sentiment is scrap-a-licious freebie. the wings are finished off with a touch of clear glitter.

Butterfly Kisses

Well I'm officially obsessed.... yet another LIM entry and I could probably make another 50 cards with Butterflies on quite easily... sad??? I know lol.... This was was not planned, as I was looking through my Scrap-a-licious sentiments and I came across this one.  It's simply finished off with a Penny Black stamp - Butterfly edge stamped across the page in pink memento ink and the corners are rounded... Nothing else too it

I'll be back tomorrow for the new challenge... hope you all have a good Friday and are getting ready for the long weekend.... I know I am!

Little Goth Girl

I thought it was time I used another one of the Gorjuss stamps I got a few weeks ago and I really wanted to have a try at "Black" hair so I chose to use Little Goth  Girl.  I've used the sketch from The Sugar Bowl #60 with an optional extra of Birthdays.  I'm also entering this into Divas By Design #2 One for the Girls and I Love Promarkers Pearls. Here is the card....

The image is Sugar Nellie " Little Goth Girl" and is coloured in with promarkers ( Black, Cool grey 4,5, meadow, apple, almond, sunkissed pink, lipstick, crimson), the paper is what was left  from a card this week from Shabby Princess ( see I'm trying to be good and not create anymore scraps). The red card stock is co-ordinations and I've used nestie label 12 to cut out the white.  The lace is from The Ribbon Girl and pearls are from the hobby house, the sentiment is LOTV.

Hope you like it....

It's The Little Things....

*** 4 of 100 in the 100 Card Challenge for Macmillan***

So this little number is a very quick make "because" I didn't read the rules correctly at CAS-ual Fridays and entered the last one into more than the allowed challenges ( they had changes the rules lol).  The very lovely Michele let me know via email so I couldn't resist having to make another one.... and yet another excuse to use more butterflies lol.... It of course then fits into LIM Butterflies ( yes again lol).. Here it is...

The sentiment is again from Tim Holtz Stamper Anonymous but this time from "Natures Elements".  The paper is Shabby Princess Sweet Sprinkles collection (if you haven't come across Shabby yet then you are missing out on fab "free" papers). I've use a cuttle bug embossing folder the wrong way up and then finished the edge with a little ribbon.  The butterflies are punches from Martha Stewart and then it's blinged up with gems from the Hobby House and finished by rounding off the corners.  Not bad for about 10 mins work ...

Thanks for visiting

Enjoy the Journey

Well since I've set the challenge of 100 cards I thought I better do a little crafting tonight.  I picked up some Tim Holtz stamps from Stampers Anonymous on Saturday at Aintree specifically for Men's cards but I just loved the sentiments on them and I just to put them to use.... This ones just a simple one and I'm entering it into the following challenges... Less is More - Butterfly, Clean & Simple - Sketch, A spoonful of sugar - Things with Wings, Flutterby Wednesday  - CAS, My Mums Craft Shop - Fave Colour.  Here is the card....

The sentiment is from Playful Journey set and is stamped in Grape Jelly Memento onto the back of a scrap of basil card stock.  The scrap of paper is from Paper chase and I really just love it.  The butterfly is cut out using a Tim Holtz sizzix die ( movers and shapers) out of the same paper stuck on upside down. It's finished off with some scraps of ribbon and a little bling.
Hope you like it....

Rainbow Butterflies

Well it's Saturday again LIMettes and I'm hopefully back in the swing of things after a couple of crazy weeks. I'm late with this today as I nipped to the craft show at Aintree this morning to pick up a couple of things... This weeks challenge theme sits close to my heart  - Butterfly - so expect a few entries this week lol.  So here is the card.

Not like I didn't already have enough butterfly goodies, but I picked up Martha Stewart's Clear Stamps - Doily Butterfly this morning, so I just had to use it.  It's stamped with a rainbow of momento inks and simply finished off with some black ribbon and a few pearls.  Hope you like it and have a great weekend

Dandelion Wisps

Sympathy cards for me are the ones I just hate to have to make as a card maker. Especially when they are for someone so close to you.  I had to make this one for a very special family.

Image is Pink Petticoat, I've then used a quickie glue pen at the end of each wisp and some clear embossing powder to give a little dimension. It fits in with this weeks LIM but it's sad to have to enter it . I'm not really going to say much more on this...

Bonjour

Well I'm not normally this late on the Less is More challenge but life has taken over crafting for numerous reasons over the past couple of weeks so crafting has had to take a back seat.... This weeks challenge is Embossing and I've also combined this with Penny Black Saturdays Clean & Simple challenge. Here is the card...

The image is Penny Blacks "Everest Next" and I got it when I went over to Inspirations in Preston after Easter in their bargin bin.  I do love Penny Black and came back with 5 stamps to add to my already huge collection.  The sentiment is from a Sizzix clear set "France".  I've simply embossed both with black embossing powder onto a kraft card blank... it was that simple..... The only thing I have a bugbear about is how the card stock bends... do anyone have a way to stop it doing this??? I'd use embossing powder (from quite a big stash) a lot more if I knew how...

Anyhow... enough waffling I've got some new LOTV stamps to play with Lol..

Dad's Garden Shed

Well I know I've not really been around much for the last couple of weeks... and it will probably be the same for this week too but I did manage to get my Guest DT card for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge done in the madness... This weeks challenge is "Something you find in the Garden".  I've used a really cute stamp from LOTV "In the Shed". Here is my card....

I've coloured in the image with promarkers ( although I did forget to write them down.... sorry :-(!) and used MME papers from the Asparagus collection and a kraft card blank from papermania.  The button is from my very large button stash.  I've used bakers twine from The Ribbon Girl and the sentiment was made by printing from PC and then stamping the LOTV ticket stamp over the top. ( I inserted Pink Petticoat Organic craft paper as an image into word, cropped it to only print what I needed and then placed the text box over the top).

Hope you all have a good week

I do love this card... it's made for a very good friend of mine who loves "Betty Boop" and I couldn't resist. I've used the sketch from this weeks Sketch n Stash #61 as inspiration.  Here it is....

The stripe paper is from Pink Petticoat and the rest from scrap box.  Font is Hill House and dew drop from Ribbon Girl.... Didn't really use much else Lol.....

Thinking of You

This weeks challenge on Cupcake Crafts is "Gingham and Roses". Now for those who know me, I very rarely use paper roses on any of my cards, so I have tried to incorporate them in a different way... using an embossing folder from Sizzix ( Just hope they count as roses lol). Anyhow, enough waffling, here is the card....

Image is Sugar Nellies "Sitting Down" Gorjuss Girl, another one that arrived last week.  I've coloured it in with my trusty promarkers (Cinnamon, cocoa, walnut, lavender, orchid, amethyst, almond, dusky pink). I've embossed panels with the embossing folder ( I'll try and find out the name if anyone is interested) and it's finished off simply with some gingham ribbon from the Ribbon Girl (thanks Andrea/Mary you are amazing...really can't beat your customer service).  I've used the sketch from this weeks Paper Pretties challenge #152 and I'm also entering it into this week's I Love Promarkers - Song Title as "James - Sit Down".....

Hope you all had a good weekend...

Tomorrow Holds Wonderful Things for a Princess...

Well more new stash arrived in the post today (naughty me) so I had to use it lol. This time they were Sugar Nellie Gorjuss stamps which I have had my eye on for a while.  So much for my stash amnesty - I'm now amending this to be just paper, ribbon, embellie's and the biggest of all.... Digi anything (please don't bring out anything new Pink Petticoat)....
I'm going to see how long I can keep this up for, but I'm aiming for end of July lol (Yes Lizy I will be able to do it..... honestly) and the new LOTV stamps are excluded completely from this amnesty lol.... Anyhow enough of my waffling, here is today's card...

The image is Sugar Nellie's Party Princess and I've coloured it in with promarkers (Cocoa, Tan, Cinnamon, Walnut, Almond, Antique Pink, Dusky Rose, Pale Pink, Buttercup, Carmine). I've followed the sketch from The Sugar Bowl challenge #58 this week (but oops I didn't finish it in time doh) as well as adding the theme of button with some lovely ones I picked up from The Ribbon Girl.  The DPs are from First Editions Love Letters Stack.  The sentiment is from LOTV and it's finished off with a little twine and a touch of glitter.

I'm also entering this into the following challenges:

Passion For Promarkers - Fit for a Princess
Diva's By Design - #1 Anything Goes
My Mums Craft Shop - #4 Cute & Girly
Top Tip Tuesday - Open

Hope you like it...

romeo, romeo....

Just a quick card for today as I'm aching slightly from last nights SHINE walk in Manchester... what an amazing night!!!

This weeks LOTV challenge is Love is in the Air so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to use a stamp I bought a while a go for a Valentines Day.  Here it is....

Image is LOTV's Teddy Romeo and is coloured in with promarkers ( warm grey 1-5, tan, cinnamon , cocoa, pear, olive, ruby, crimson, black). Papers are from pink petticoat lace from the ribbon girl and ribbon from stash. I've used little red glitter to finish off the rose. The sentiment is from the same stamp.

I've used the sketch from "The Sweet Stop #106"  and also entered it into Totally Papercrafts # 64 - Glitter.

Hope you like it....

Cat in a China Cup - Cupcake Crafts Guest DT

Well today is not only my first week as Guest DT for Cupcake Craft, but makeover day for the blog too... It has a gorgeous new look so make sure you check it out!!!!  This weeks challenge is something beginning with C. This can be a colour, item or an image... Here is mine...

The image is Kitty in a Cup from Tiddly Inks (too cute I know).  I've coloured in simply with promarkers (Ice Grey 1,2,4, Blossom, China Blue, Cobalt Blue, and Blender).  The deep blue pearlescent card is from Anna Marie designs and the check and pale blue is from Pink Petticoat (Of course).  The tiny gems are from my stash (from the days I use to do nail art). I've sewn around the edges ( very roughly) with my little sewing machine ( I think I really do need some practice but it only has one speed... very fast... so it's hard to keep even vaguely straight).  I do quite like it, especially the colour...

Make sure you check out the rest of the DTs creations

Hope you like what I have done

These weeks Penny Black challenge is Milestones and since I picked up some new stamps on Wednesday last week I couldn't wait to use one of them... I used this weeks Sketch Saturday #153 as inspiration and Totally Gorjuss #78 - 1,2,3 ( 1 DP, 2 Ribbon, 3 Pearls). Here is the card....

The image is Jump For Joy from Penny Black and this is coloured in with promarkers (Blossom , Fuchsia Pink, Leaf green, Apple, Meadow, Ivory, Buttercup). Papers are Pink Petticoat (little check in Little Fleur Pink).  The sentiment is from Scrap-a-licious and the ribbon from stash.  It's finished off with 3 little pearls.

Hope you like it...

Congratulations Little Butterflies

Well I'm a day behind this week on my Less is More challenge which this week is Thanks or Congratulations but I did manage to get one done this morning.  I've got a free morning to do a little crafting and catch up as I've not managed to do any since last Wednesday ;-(... Anyhow enough waffling here is my LIM card....

The butterflies are Martha Stewart classic butterfly punches (standard punch and punch anywhere). These are cut from pink petticoat paper scraps ( I'm being good) and mounted in line with this weeks Clean & Simple challenge sketch. The sentiment is from a really old woodware clear stamp set and I wish I had printed it from PC really but for some reason my PC couldn't find my printer... It's finished off with some pearls from The Hobby House.  I'm also entering this into this weeks Crafty Catz challenge which is congratulations.

Anyhow, I'll probably be back later with more cards... Have a great day in the sun
