Well I decided I'd have a little play with some of my new toys from last Saturdays craft show and I'd try and get a little "Inky" using the blending brushes from Inkylicious. Now I picked up the brushes in June @ Doncaster but was a little nervous on using them until I watched the demo on how to do it on Saturday. So, armed with a couple of distress inks, a new butterfly stamp from Inkylicious and a circular mask, this is what I managed to do on the first go.....
I pretty happy with it, so I might have to give it another go soon but on flat card rather than a hammered base and try the sentiment a little darker although it really has not photographed well :-(
Inspiration:
Less Is More: #31 Metallic ( ink pad and pen)
Flutterby Wednesday: 170 Open
Card Recipe:
Image: Flutters 1 from Inkylicious
Distress Inks: Tim Holtz - Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender,
Pearls: Hobby House
Silver pen, silver brilliance
Sentiment: Whimsy Stamps Friendship Ticket Sentiments
Hope you all are having a good week, I'm just glad my broadband is finally back up and running and at super speed too...
Jen xx
This looks lovely, I think that you'll get different effects by using different card finishes. Distress ink acts well on card which allows you to move the colour around a little. I think you're going to have great fun experimenting with ink. If this is the start, I can't wait to see what comes next! Super!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much

It is lovely Jen
ReplyDeleteI may have been tempted to bring the sentiment out of the circle slightly to make it stand out a bit more. Although it probably does IRL
