Simply Sketchy ...

Morning LIMettes... So this week at Less Is More we have a little sketch for you that I have drawn up.  Here it is...

It's simplicity itself, so to add a little constraint, we ask that the card stays in this orientation.  Remember we still want to see plenty of white space.

Here are my simple creations for this week....

For my first card I have used my first ever embossing folder from Cuttle-bug along with a strip of ribbon and a button from Stampin UP.  Keeping it really simple.  I have also distressed the edges of the panel.

My second card uses my newest bit of stash, the  Mr Moustache collection from Pink Petticoat... I simply added the sentiment across the middle and cut out another moustache and raised it a little.  The fabulous matching papers decorate the inside.

Sorry I have not been around for last couple of days, not been feeling too good and working too hard isn't helping.  I promise I'll catch up on last weeks commenting :-(

Man's Best Friend... Another LOTV Sneak Peek!!

Morning... I have another little card for you today from the up and coming LOTV vintage boys release.  This one is called "Man's Best Friend".  I nipped to Fred Aldous in Manchester earlier in the week at lunch and picked up this fabulous Washi tape (like I didn't already have enough ?!?) and thought it went perfectly with this cute image!

I've kept this really simple.  It was supposed to have a sentiment but I added the foam pads before I knew about it... Oh well...

A Touch of Paint.. CAS Monday with LOTV #5, Some Exciting News and a Sneak Peek

Morning... It's week #5 of my CAS Monday with LOTV, but before I show you my card I have some very exciting news....

Yes you are reading that correctly.. The lovely peeps at Lili Of The Valley have asked me to join their design team.  I obviously have a very different style than their current team so hopefully I'll be able to inspire everyone with a CAS style of card making to use the super cute images.

There is a second part to this news too in that I'm the first to show you a sneak peek of the new Vintage Boys collection out at the beginning of May.. This lovely chap is "A Lick Of Paint"...

The Lion King Meets Police Academy

Morning LIMettes... Wow another week has gone and it's One Layer card week at Less Is More and this week the theme is....

A FILM

Any film will do, but preferably one that most people will have heard of. We would like you to tell us the title of your film and not keep us guessing. Here are my cards for this week...

My first card is based on a favourite film when I was a kid.. Police Academy.  I've used the going places stamp set from Clearly Besotted stamps and the sentiment is from the same set.  It's simple coloured in with Promarkers.

My second card is based on another favourite film, this time Disney's The Lion King.  The stamp is from Stampin Up's Zoo Review Set and the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Going places.  I have simply stamped the image on more mustard card stock from the regals collection by Stampin UP in brown memento ink.

I hope you can think of a way to incorporate your favourite film into this weeks challenge

Jen's Cat

Morning... So Al and I are huge fans of Simons' Cat ... I think this is because it reminds us very much of our other cat Jack. Jack is always hungry and he has to tell you about it... no matter what time of the day it is.. So I made this card for Al for his birthday earlier in the year and since Jack was helping me craft yesterday I thought I would show it to you...

I often show pictures of my crafty cat Levi but Jack just tends to sleep all day and not pay any interest in my crafting room.. Until lately when he found out he can actually get up onto the desk and cover most of it.  This is Jack my tuxedo cat!!

Jack and Levi are brother and sister and now 5 years old.. can't believe I have had them for so long!

You Said.. Clearly Besotted April Release

Morning... A really quick card I made last night in 10 minutes or so using another new set from Clearly Besotted.... I really hope you are loving this new release as much as I am.  This is another fabulous set of stamps and dies.

I printed Silver chevrons from Pink Petticoat straight onto a pale blue card blank and I really love the effect.
