Heartbeat

Morning LIMettes, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We have another challenge over at Less Is More for you this week and as it is the 5th week it is lucky dip with a theme of DIMENSION.

I used a super cute die from Sugar Pea for this card and built up about 5 layers to give it dimension on the card.  The sentiment is a favourite from Clearly Besotted.

I'm looking forward to getting back on track in the new year.  I haven't had much time for crafting since before I went on holiday in November and it has driven me crazy!

Have a fabulous Saturday!

Dear Santa.... plus tutorial on digi images in word....

Morning LIMettes, this week we have a 2 week challenge over at Less is More as it's Christmas Eve next Saturday!  The theme is For A Child, which gives you an amazing amount of options to chose from!

I made a couple of cards using an LOTV digi image... can you notice the difference between them?

and the second one!!

Did you get it?  I have flipped the image in one of them!!

I thought I would share a how I did this below....  There are some screen shots for you so you can see how I did this in word!

The first image shows you how to flip the image.. if you click on Format then you have options to rotate or flip the image!  Great if your little character is facing the wrong way!

The second screen shot shows you how to change the colours of the lines for that No Line effect.  I used this on the first card!

Hope you have a great Saturday.. I'll be back on Tuesday when I have returned from Vienna..

Kitty Presents - LOTV Sneak Peek

Morning, today I have the cards I have made using the new release from LOTV out on 16th December.  This is the gorgeous kitty presents - trio.

The first card I cut out the little cat from the circle and mounted him over a sentiment. I wanted to show how flexible these little kittys are when you fussy cut them out!  I modeled this one on my Jack!

The second of the trios I simply added to the card with a quick sentiment ...

I hope you are enjoying looking at everyone's cards.... I'll be back later in the week with another sneak peek reveal

Christmas Tradition.. The Tree is Up!

Morning All,  I am very lucky this year to be sharing my Christmas Traditions and being sponsored by Balsam Hill.

A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to review a wreath from Balsam Hill.. I fell in love with the product and how realistic it looked.

When I was a kid, setting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations was never really a big thing, every year though, my Mum did let me pick a new decoration to put on the tree. By the time I left home I had a big box of complete randomness.... I still have these today but they are carefully boxed away..

Cats and Christmas trees don't always mix and after a couple of years of putting them up I was afraid that they would get ruined and, as they were the one thing I wanted to remember about Christmas as a child, I stopped using them... Instead, each year I would buy some coloured cheap baubles and put them on the tree but it was never really that Perfect Tree....  This year I get to decorate not only a stunning tree, but use some beautiful glass baubles.

The tree I received from Balsam Hill is the gorgeous Silverado. It is absolutely stunning and so realistic... I have a narrow room but with very high ceilings so this was perfect being 7' tall but slimmer at the base!

My house is very simply decorated so I kept the tree the same adding the baubles and finishing off the tree with my Angel from the box.  I thought about adding in ribbons and garlands, but I loved it so much as it was I left it.. complementing my decor perfectly!

Here is a close up of one of the hand decorated baubles...

There is one little guy that made an appearance on my mantle piece mixed in with the Balsam Hill garland I purchased before last Christmas...  I was in Stockholm last December and these were everywhere, how could I not bring one home.  It was my way of keeping up the tradition of adding a new decoration each year, even if he can't fit into the tree!

You can really see the detail on the branches on this photo and how realistic they really are...

Hope you are all decorating up your houses and creating your own traditions...

Have a great Thursday, I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek of something new

The colour theme is Primary Colours and you can chose to use, one or all of them.  I went with Red!

The snowflakes are from Lil Inkers and the sentiment from CBS.

I'm sorry I didn't get chance to visit anyone whilst I was on holiday.  The Wifi was non-existent and when I had it pretty much useless.

Hope you have a great Saturday.  I'm off Christmas Shopping In London followed by some live music this evening.

It's Snowing....

Morning,

After a few google account and blogger issues before I went on holiday it's now all fixed and I have a little card for you using the fabulous James the Bear from Lili Of The Valley... He was my first love and I am so happy he is back as digis on the LOTV website.

I have used him for my inspiration for the new Facebook challenge over at LOTV... this month the theme is Winter.  Here is my card..

I have made a shaker card behind James using some fabulous sequins from Lucy .. this has to be my favourite mix ever!!

So that it didn't look strange when stood up, I followed an idea from Jennifer Mcguire to stick some of the sequins down to the back piece before adding in the rest of them... I love how the card looks when stood up now... makes such a difference. You can find Jennifer's video and blog post HERE!

I'll be back soon with another creation.. Have a great Thursday!
