Morning... Before I share my Less is More card I just wanted to explain where my life is up to. I've done so little blogging this year that most of you have forgotten who I am.
Life has been a little more than hectic for the last 2 years due to work travel and whilst I have struggled to keep up with blogging I never wanted to give it up... I'm not sure how often I will be on here but in the background I have spent some time crafting but never managed the energy to type up a post on here. Over the last couple of months I think I must have left my mojo on one of my travels and have made exactly 2 cards (although I have been out of the country pretty much weekly since Easter).
Whilst in Singapore and Japan at the beginning of June I decided that I was going to look for inspiration even though I could not actually make a card I spent spare time watching millions of You Tube videos and hopefully they have inspired my to try something a little different.
So, I have decided to just simply create, pick up some supplies I want to use and make a card instead of feeling like I am forcing myself to make cards. I'm not saying I won't enter any challenges or anything but I'm probably just going to share because I want to and not worry about using retired stamps on my creations any longer!
I'm hoping to streamline down some of my craft stash as I feel over whelmed with the amount of things I have (look out for a de-stash soon) and ensure my Craft Studio works well for me instead of constant clutter.
Although there will always be travel in my job, and I'll never know when I can post I want to enjoy crafting and blogging again.... and seeing new places is always inspiring...
That's enough waffling... On to a card for today for Less Is More.. and a brand new technique for me.. Faux Bleach..... I used a stamp that sums me up perfectly at the moment...
I finally managed to pick up this little Altenew stamp a couple of weeks ago after it being out of stock . I think this will def be a technique to try again...
Supplies:
Hope you have a great Saturday... I'm off to Lytham St Annes to spend the day with my friend Elaine...
Hopefully I'll be back soon

ReplyDeleteI think you have the right attitude, create and blog when you feel like it with things you want to use. It is sad when we stop using things we really love because they are no longer available. Be happy you have them and enjoy them. I know business travel sounds exciting but it can get a bit much sometimes. Use your crafting to relax and unwind. Your card BTW is lovely, very personal and beautifully CAS.
ReplyDeleteCool technique Jen. So lovely to read your post, glad you are still wanting to keep your hand in even if it's not as regularly as you'd like. Your creations are always so inspiring. I don't always have time to comment as the littlies take most of my time, but I do pop in and check what you're up to, so you have been missed! Enjoy the travel and enjoy the inspiration you can take from it. This creation is a brilliant reflection of where you're at! Love it. Hugs, Wends x
