Say Cheese!

Morning... Sorry I have not posted for a few days... I had a nightmare after a PC update on Sunday and then have been in Germany this week so only managed to edit any photos last night!

I missed international Selfie day yesterday but this was the card I had made for it!

I picked up this 'Photo booth' from Your Next Stamp from Dies to Dies for when I went to Happy Stampers as I absolutely loved the cute dog and cat images.
I coloured in the image with Copics before mounting it behind a panel cut out using the MFT window die.  I then added a sentiment using Stampin Ups Labeller Alpha set
Its finished off by mounting onto a Black card base.

That's all from me for today... have a wonderful Friday.. The weather is glorious today

Birthday Fishes

Happy Sunday .... It's Fathers Day in the UK today but I cannot share that card until later in the week so I thought I would make a card for this weeks CAS(e) This Sketch.

I smooshed some Broken China Distress Oxide onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock and let it dry.
Whilst drying I stamped and coloured the little fishes from the MFT Gill Friends set using my copics.  I then fussy cut these out and added details to some of them with a white gel pen, nuvo drops or wink of stella.
Once the panel was dry, I stamped the Birthday Fishes sentiment out of the set using Versa CLAIR black ink and then arrange the fish over the panel, lifting some with foam tape.

Party Animal

Morning Y'all, sorry missed a couple of days, I have had cards made but simply didn't have time to get them edited last weekend in full and then the posts written up...

For today's card I'm using one of the MFT stamps from last months release... Safari Party I couldn't resist these little crocs.

I started by drawing a pencil line across a piece of Neenah Solar white card stock before using my MISTI to stamp the croc multiple times across the piece.
I then coloured the images in using Copic Markers before adding the sentiment from the same set.

I added some texture to the crocs using a white gel pen and adding dots and then a doodle line from the sentiment out to the edge of the panel.

It's finished off by mounting onto a black top folding card blank.

I just about made it home from Frankfurt last night as my original flight home was cancelled but it was a very late one so I plan on spending the day R&R and in the craft studio making cards.

Hope you have a lovely Saturday

This is Your ...... Birthday Card

Morning... I have another card using a different stamp from the Birthday Wit Stampin Up set I used last week.  I absolutely love this card and the sentiment and have a couple of friends this would be perfect for... you know who you are!

I used the same method as the last card by using the MISTI and masking off each section with a post it note.  The only difference this time is I used Stampin Up markers instead of ink pads and I think it gives it a little bit of texture to the stamping.
I added some simple doodles around the edge and mounted the panel onto a card blank made from neenah desert storm card stock.

I'll be back soon with another card to share with you

Have a great day

Sending You Birthday Wishes

Morning.  Today I have used the Elephant Birthday set from Mama Makes again for another fun birthday card.

I stamped out the image onto neenah solar white card stock and then added the party hat from the set.  I didn't bother masking anything off as you could not tell once it was coloured in with copics.

The sentiment is from the same set and used the MISTI to make sure I got it straight.  The panel was then trimmed down so I could add some colour down each side.  For this I used some DSP from doodlebug and some glitter card stock from Stampin Up, cut into really thin strips.

The card is finished off with a little sparkle added to the hat.

I'm hopefully back on track with crafting and blogging now I have stopped travelling as much, although I am making cards for the week either over the weekend or a night in the week rather than every day now which is a lot easier to manage.

Have a lovely Thursday

Monster Wishes

Happy Tuesday... hope you are all having a fabulous week so far.  I managed a little crafting over the weekend and this card for CAS(e) This Sketch uses the new stamp I bought on Saturday...

I stamped monster image from the Aall & Create set #13 onto a piece of neenah 80lb card stock and then using a circle die and a pencil drew a light circle where I wanted to partially die cut the area out.
I then fussy cut around the top of the image cutting down a litter further down the side to allow the die to slip in the gap. I used a stitched circle die from Simon Says Stamp to cut out a circle in the card panel lifting the fussy cut section over the die so it didn't cut the area over the image.

I coloured the image in with copic markers and then trimmed down the panel with a craft knife, being careful to avoid the foot which I also fussy cut around.

The panel is mounted onto some very old DSP from Stampin Up and and a simple sentiment from Clearly Besotted is added onto Lemon Line Twist Stampin Up card stock.

I used this CAS(e) This Sketch #275 as inspiration for the card

That's all from me for today... have a great Tuesday

New Baby

Happy Monday Y'all.  I have a LOTV card to share with you all today using Scruffy Edward from the release back in April.  I absolutely loved this little elephant and wanted to make another little card using a second image I had already coloured in.

After printing off the digi image I coloured it in using copics and then fussy cut out the elephant and the balloon.
I created a panel scene using some soft sky and pear pizzazz card stock from Stampin Up  and added some memory box clouds.  I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps and then mounted the images on foam tape.  I ran some string behind the hand of the elephant before securing it down on the card.  I then added the end behind the balloon and added a small bow.

I really love creating scenes with a mix of images and dies... even if they all tend to look the same :-)

I'll be back later in the week.. have a lovely Monday

Written In The Stars

Morning... I have one more card for you made from the Birthday Wit set from Stampin Up. I had stamped this out when I made the others but had done nothing with it.

The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then I coloured it in with copics in bright colours. I trimmed down the panel before adding some wooden star embellishments and a doodling around the edge.
The panel was then mounted onto a card base made from Bermuda Bay card stock from Stampin Up.  I finished it off by adding a little wink of stella onto the wooden stars.

Yesterday I went to the craft show in Bolton and then spent the rest of the day crafting my little heart out with stuff to show you over the next couple of weeks.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday

Deco Duo

Morning.  My card today uses a technique new to me - stamping with Deco Foil Transfer gel

I firstly created a panel on Neenah solar white using the gel and the kaleidoscope leaves background stamp from Simon Says Stamp.  Make sure you wash off the stamp as soon as you have finished.

Once the panel had dried I ran it through the mini Minc once it has dried with rose gold foil. I def need more practice but it gave a lovely aged effect.

I then used the panel to create the two cards below:

For the first card I cut a 1 inch wide strip of the foiled panel and lay it horizontally across a top folding black card base. Its then finished off with a sentiment from the Mama Elephant Occasional Labels set which I stamped in black ink and then fussy cut around before mounting on foam and adding to the card.

For the second card I added strips of the panel and black card stock to a white top folding card base and the cut out the With Sympathy die sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and then add it over the top of the foiled pieces.

I think I will definitely be trying this technique again soon ...

Hope you all have a great Friday... I'm off to the family wedding of the year today so I will catch you all again soon

Nothing Says Happy Birthday Like....

Morning... I have a couple of cards using the now retired  Birthday Wit Stamp set from Stampin Up. I really loved the quirky sentiments in this set.

I made some really simple bright cards with one of the sentiments adding some simple doodles around the edges to finish it off.

I stamped the image using the MISTI, first masking off the Happy Birthday part to allow me to do it in a different colour.  I then masked of the part I had just stamped allowing me to add the different colour to the section of the stamp.

The card is finished off with a grey shadow around the image using a copic and some fancy doodles around the edge before being mounted on a card blank made of tempting turquoise card stock from Stampin Up.

The second one using lime green instead of blue and a change in the doodle around the edge of the card. I used Lucky Limeade Card stock from Stampin Up (I so wish they would bring it back as i'm hoarding it) as it matched the Altenew ink the closest.

I really enjoy making quick fun cards like this and they are perfect for last minute makes.

Hope you have a fab Wednesday!

Congratulations

Happy Monday!  So after 3 years of crazy travel I start my new role today.  Looking forward to a more consistent lifestyle, and, even though there will still be travel involved it will be days rather than weeks in a month.  More time for crafting!!

Today I have a couple of cards for you using one of the New Beginning digi release from LOTV.  The great thing about this image is that it can be used for anything.  I created two cards using the image sowing how you can resize it to fit your card base.

I colouring in both of the images the same, the only difference being the size as I wanted to create a landscape and a portrait card. The image is coloured in with copic markers and a little bit of sparkle added to the banner.
I trimmed both of the panels so they fit the respective card blanks with the image meeting the sides.

The first card is mounted onto a neenah desert storm card blank.

The second card I used the Straight Edge Die set from Whimsy to add some detail to the panel and then added to a  card blank made with Marina Mist card stock from Stampin Up (Retired).

That's all from me today... See you all again soon!

Just Married

Morning... June really is wedding season and I have a couple to attend over the next few weeks so I thought I would share this little card I made for a friend who eloped a few weeks ago..

I kept this card really simple using the Wonderful Life set from Stampin Up. I stamped the image using my MISTI then added the additions to it... the cans and the number plate.
I stamped the Just Married onto a scrap of card stock and then fussy cut it out and added it onto the image using foam tape. I coloured it in using some pale grey copic markers as it looked a bit flat without the colour wash.

The white panel is then mounted flat onto a card base as it needed to be posted and arrive without getting squashed.

That's all from me for today... have a great Sunday

You're a Dragon, be a Dragon!

Morning... When I saw the Mama Elephant release back in March I fell in love with these tiny dragons... I had this idea to have one of them sat onto of the sentiment and this was the result of that idea!

I stamped the image onto a panel of neenah solar white card stock and then using the MISTI added the dragon and the little puff of smoke.
I coloured in the dragon in bright purple copic and then added some detail using a white gel pen. To finish it off I stitched around the panel using my sewing machine and the mounted the panel onto a card blank made from lemon lime twist card from Stampin Up.

I have had a couple of messages regarding the items i am using on my card and why no linky.  I did think about it but there are a couple of main reasons I decided not to re-subscribe.
  • The first is that I really want to use all my stash, not just the items that are still available.  I have a lot of retired stamps especially stampin up ones and I found it frustrating to have to add a linky and then a separate list.
  • The second reason is the cost went up significantly compared to what I had paid and I really don't make enough in affiliate commissions etc to warrant paying that much out each month with LinkDeli.
I hope you understand my reasoning but I am trying to remember to write down what I use for each card.  let me know if it would be more useful in a list instead on the post.

That is all from me for this summer Saturday!

Have a great weekend

I Miss You

Morning.... I'm off to London for the weekend, but thought I would share a quick card I made last night for this weeks CAS(e) This Sketch....

I was lucky enough to win a few sheets of the new colours of card stock from SU at a party and since they launch today I decided to use them for this card... They are Gray Granite and Soft Sea Foam ... really love them!

I coloured in the Koala from Avery Elle Peek A Boo Pals using warm grey copic markers. I then fussy cut him out and added a little nuvo drops black to his eyes.

Using the MFT Stitched Circle Frames I cut out 3 layers from Fresh Fig Card stock from SU and layered them adding a back in Soft Sea foam.  I then added the Koala peeking from the frame.  This is mounted onto a rectangle cut out using Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies and the whole thing mounted onto a Gray Granite card base.  The sentiment is from the same Avery Elle set.

Here is the CAS(e) This Sketch #274

That's all from me for today... have a fabulous weekend
