Inked Waves

Morning.... I have a quick card for you this morning using a scrap of a background I had made for a card back in May.  I loved the colour combo so much I couldn't throw it away!

I added some simple stitching and then a tape sentiment to keep it really CAS

I cancelled my inlinkz so will try and remember to write down on each post what I used and include it on the posts.

Ingredients:

Stamp: MFT Wavy Colouring Book Background Cling Stamp
Inks: Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Broken China, Blueprint Sketch
Card: Neenah White, Not Quite Navy from Stampin Up

Have a great Saturday

Something a Little Different.. UPDATED (added Flexmarker version)

Evening... So I have no card for you today but I have a little experiment I was trying yesterday when my friend Vicky from Vicky's Crafting Corner popped over to pick up some bits.  Vicky is really new to crafting (pop over and say hello) and was trying to decide which colouring medium to select...

So we were looking at the easiest and fairly cheap method for her.... firstly we looked at the Distress Markers from Tim Holtz... more pocket friendly that my huge promarker collection and fairly easy to use.  We both coloured in the same image.... the fabulous "James The Bear ...Wrapped In Tinsel" from Lili of the valley.... I love this bear!!  Here is mine.... Simply 3 distress markers....

After a little conversation re Distress markers and buying them I realised you may be able to do the same thing with Stampin Up write markers.... So tonight I coloured the same image with the markers... It was so easy I love the simple colouring... and since Vix has some of the markers already... a lot cheaper!

Here is take 2 with the markers ... Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede and Real Red...

UPDATE:
I thought I would add the one I coloured with Flexmarkers and Prismas.... This was the one I was colouring in when Vicky arrived...

Hope you join me tomorrow for a new challenge at Passion For Promarkers.... It's my turn to host this week.  It's also the first ever sketch over at Seize the Sketch!!!

I'm hopefully going to turn these two cuties into some cards now.....

It's Not In the Stars... Another LOTV Sneak Peek

Morning.. I have another LOTV sneak peek from you this morning using another set from the quotables and a vintage background stamp too.  Now I have gone for something a little different but I hope it's still fairly CAS... They lend them selves well to a bit of vintage and this is my interpretation!

Card Recipe:
Quotables (I'll add the name later as I cannot remember :-(...)
Vintage Background: Clocks & Cogs
Dies: Tim Holtz by Sizzix
Distress Inks: Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen

Hope you can make it across if you are local as you will be able to pick up the new release 12 days early!!!!

Have a great Friday

You Are Fabulous...

Well I decided I'd have a little play with some of my new toys from last Saturdays craft show and I'd try and get a little "Inky" using the blending brushes from Inkylicious.  Now I picked up the brushes in June @ Doncaster but was a little nervous on using them until I watched the demo on how to do it on Saturday. So, armed with a couple of distress inks, a new butterfly stamp from Inkylicious and a circular mask, this is what I managed to do on the first go.....

I pretty happy with it, so I might have to give it another go soon but on flat card rather than a hammered base and try the sentiment a little darker although it really has not photographed well :-(

Inspiration:
Less Is More: #31 Metallic ( ink pad and pen)
Flutterby Wednesday: 170 Open

Card Recipe:
Image: Flutters 1 from Inkylicious
Distress Inks: Tim Holtz - Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender,
Pearls: Hobby House
Silver pen, silver brilliance
Sentiment: Whimsy Stamps Friendship Ticket Sentiments

Hope you all are having a good week, I'm just glad my broadband is finally back up and running and at super speed too...
