Winter Wonderland - LOTV On Hochanda

Morning All,  Sorry I've taken a couple of weeks pretty much off, My laptop died and Ive had to get a new one and then transfer everything over to it so not had much time for crafting and even then couldn't get the photos off my camera!

Today LOTV are on Hochanda at 11am and 3pm BST and I am sharing one of the stamps you will be able to get hold of exclusively today! How cute is this....

The image is coloured in with Copic markers and I have cut it out with Avery Elle Pierced Square dies. The sentiment is an old LOTV set and it is then mounted onto Kraft card stock base.

I'll have some more to share with you this week.. the images are exclusive to Hochanda for 2 weeks then if any rubber are left you will be able to get them over on the LOTV website

Sorry it's a quick one today...

New Baby

Happy Monday Y'all.  I have a LOTV card to share with you all today using Scruffy Edward from the release back in April.  I absolutely loved this little elephant and wanted to make another little card using a second image I had already coloured in.

After printing off the digi image I coloured it in using copics and then fussy cut out the elephant and the balloon.
I created a panel scene using some soft sky and pear pizzazz card stock from Stampin Up  and added some memory box clouds.  I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps and then mounted the images on foam tape.  I ran some string behind the hand of the elephant before securing it down on the card.  I then added the end behind the balloon and added a small bow.

I really love creating scenes with a mix of images and dies... even if they all tend to look the same :-)

I'll be back later in the week.. have a lovely Monday

Congratulations

Happy Monday!  So after 3 years of crazy travel I start my new role today.  Looking forward to a more consistent lifestyle, and, even though there will still be travel involved it will be days rather than weeks in a month.  More time for crafting!!

Today I have a couple of cards for you using one of the New Beginning digi release from LOTV.  The great thing about this image is that it can be used for anything.  I created two cards using the image sowing how you can resize it to fit your card base.

I colouring in both of the images the same, the only difference being the size as I wanted to create a landscape and a portrait card. The image is coloured in with copic markers and a little bit of sparkle added to the banner.
I trimmed both of the panels so they fit the respective card blanks with the image meeting the sides.

The first card is mounted onto a neenah desert storm card blank.

The second card I used the Straight Edge Die set from Whimsy to add some detail to the panel and then added to a  card blank made with Marina Mist card stock from Stampin Up (Retired).

That's all from me today... See you all again soon!

2 Peas in a Pod

Morning..  Happy Bank Holiday to those in the UK.... I'm looking forward to a very short work week as I am also off on Friday this week.

I'm hoping the weather today isn't too bad and I can get outside this afternoon after the gym this morning.  I really need to get out on my bike if I'm going to manage the Manchester to Blackpool cycle in a few weeks.

I have a LOTV card for you today using another one of the New Beginnings release from April.

I used the Peas in a Pod stamp and printed it off so it filled most of the card front.  The image is coloured in with copic markers  and then the panel has been trimmed.

I added a sentiment from Hero Arts and then added a doodle border to the white panel before mounting it on some light pink co-ordinations card stock at an angle.  A bit of wink of stella on the hearts finishes off the card.

That's all from me for today...

New Home

Morning... Hope you all had a fabulous weekend... I'm hopefully enjoying the sights of Italy as you read this!

Today I have another CAS LOTV card for you today and its using one of the New Home Trios.  I love digi stamps as you can make the image the size you need for the card.  This one I have made it slightly bigger than what the original rubber trio stamps were.

I coloured in the house image using copic markers and then fussy cut around the circle before mounting it onto  a kraft card stock base.
The sentiment has been added using my tape machine.... I really love this gadget and it reminds me of being a kid again!

That's all from me today.  I hope you all have a lovely Monday.

Welcome Baby

Hey Y'all..... I have a little scene card today for you using this cutie from LOTV.  This is Greg - Just A Note and he was perfect for this new baby card..

I saw THIS off the edge card by Jennifer Mcguire a few weeks ago and it inspired me to do the same with this card.

I started off by colouring in the image with Copics and then marked a line across the top to allow the off the edge piece. I then cut around the top of the balloons.

The hills are cut out of scraps of DSP from Stampin up and then I added a little sign post to give it a final touch. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

I am really trying to keep practicing my copic colouring after attending my Copic 4 with Faye a couple of weeks ago... if you have not tried out any of her classes I really recommend you do!

Hope you all have a fabulous Monday

Rocker Bunny

Good Morning... It's a bank holiday here in the UK today so I am hoping the weather stays nice so I can make the most of the outdoors after I have been to the gym.

I have another LOTV card for you today using this super cute little bunny Bunny Rocker. It has to be one of my favourite baby images.

I went for a gender neutral colour way using pistachio pudding card stock from Stampin Up with a hint of yellow on the copic coloured image.   I added a sentiment from Tiny Type from Clearly Besotted Stamps and then finished off with some doodling around the edge of the panel.  I had planned on sewing this one, but glued it to the based before I realised I had not done it.

That's all from me for today... Have a great Monday

Pounds and Ounces

Morning... so last one of my cards with the new images for this week.  I hope you have loved them as much as I do.

This little cutie is Pounds and Ounces.. how sweet is the little bear!

I printed off the digi image on neenah solar white and then coloured it in with my copic markers.  I seem to have a thing for bright colours at the moment so I went for a cool blue and vibrant pink as the accents.

I then used the MFT Stitched rectangular frame in Temping Turquoise card stock from Stampin Up twice to give it a bit of dimension.  This is mounted on doodlebug Kraft in Colour DSP.

I created a label for the sentiment and add a couple of glitter card stock hearts to finish it all off.

Thats all from me for today.. Have a great day

New Beginnings

Morning..  It's release day over at Lili Of The Valley and the theme for the release is New Beginnings.  As you are aware, LOTV stopped selling Rubber Stamps last month to concentrate on Digi Stamps and this is the first official release.  I have 3 cards to show you over the next couple of weeks and this is the first one using Clouds!

I printed off the image ensuring that I had sized it to fit the majority of a 4 1/4 by 5 1/5 note card and then coloured it in with copic markers in fairly bright colours.  I then drew a pencil line where I wanted the image to hang over the edge and using my craft knife I cut in between the images and then fussy cut around the overhang.

This is then mounted over a strip of Doodle bug DSP from Kraft In Colour pack.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap on Neenah using the Stampin Up Labeler Alphabet and cut out and placed over the edge.

I have used this weeks CAS(e) this Sketch #268 as inspiration.  I hope you like how I have used the sketch.

I was lucky enough to win last weeks CAS(e) this sketch.  It's one of my favourite challenges and a staple when I craft so check it out if you have never taken part.

I borrowed my friends Photo-board to take these pics to see if I liked them.  I love the effect I placed an order so will be able to use them soon. If you want to have a look click on my referral code HERE

I had a fabulous day yesterday in Brighouse on my Copic 4 colouring class with the amazing Faye Wynn-Jones. If you have never tried one of the classes check them out HERE.  Its so much fun to spend time with crafty friends, so a little shopping with Tracy from Dies to Die For  and spend the day colouring.

Hope you have a lovely Monday

How Many Candles?

Happy Monday everyone.... I thought I would start up CAS Mondays with LOTV and start sharing this every week with you... As some of you may know, LOTV have stopped selling rubber stamps for a few months but will still have the digi and simply prints.

CAS Mondays with LOTV will be a mix of old and new images as I try and get the most out of my craft stash and try and share new ideas to use those older forgotten about images.

For this week I have used one of the newer images from last year, Candles.  This cute little bear surrounded by a wall of candles is definitely a favourite. It helps he looks just a little bit like James the Bear.

I had so much colouring him in that I did three colour ways..... The first is my favourite but I do love the pink and blue versions as well!

I coloured in the images using my copics and then added a simple happy birthday from Clearly Besotted Stamps.  The Panels are cut out using my pierced rectangle dies from Avery Elle (My current fave).

The panels are then mounted on Smoky Slate card stock from Stampin Up where I have used funky fun foam to ensure they do not get squashed in the mail...

Here are the two other colour ways...

That's all from me today.. I'll be back later in the week... Hope you have a fabulous Monday...

Just James

Morning, I have one of my all time favourite LOTV characters for you today.. James. He is available over at Lily Of The Valley in digi format again.

This months Facebook challenge for is Flowers and to enter click HERE you still have a couple of days left!

Supplies:

I went on Faye Wynn-Jones Copic class a couple of weeks ago and it gave me the confidence I was lacking with my copics... I was still using them the same way you do Promarkers even though they are a different type of pen, so I thought I would give James some fur and a cloudy back ground.

Hope you have a great Monday

Kitty Presents - LOTV Sneak Peek

Morning, today I have the cards I have made using the new release from LOTV out on 16th December.  This is the gorgeous kitty presents - trio.

The first card I cut out the little cat from the circle and mounted him over a sentiment. I wanted to show how flexible these little kittys are when you fussy cut them out!  I modeled this one on my Jack!

The second of the trios I simply added to the card with a quick sentiment ...

I hope you are enjoying looking at everyone's cards.... I'll be back later in the week with another sneak peek reveal

Dashing Through The Snow...

Morning... Lazy crafting day yesterday meant that I managed to get ahead on my DT cards and make this cutie for the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge....

I really wanted to show you how you can use LOTV stamps to make a one of those popular scene cards.  This image is retired but it was perfect for the sketch.

I started by stamping the image onto Neenah White card stock and then again onto masking paper and cutting out the top section around the polar bear and penguin. I covered up the stamped image and bottom section and using a blending tool with Tumbled Glass and Weathered Wood distress inks, I carefully blended away from the image to the top of the card piece.  Once this was done I then coloured in the image with Copics.

The sentiment was straightened using the MISTI (it's perfect for this) and then stamped on the panel, then the card is finished off with white gel pen and a little stickles.

Supplies:

I also said I would show you my goodies from Saturday at the NEC... Here is a snapshot of my haul... I cannot believe I never had any chalk inks before!

Have a great Monday, I'll be back soon
